Far too early one morning, after an eerily vivid dream involving vast amounts of undead, weird insects and a small band of people that I'd never met; Though in my heart, I knew them very well; I awoke to find my door open wide and a Raven cawing (TO me?) just outside. As I got dressed and armed, Raven's caws seemed to get faster and louder. As I came out the door, Raven went from tree to tree; Beckoning me to follow him.
He led (?) me more than 10 miles, taking me into some unfamiliar part of the woods that I had never been in. Raven kept just ahead, then brought me out onto what must have been some sort of road at one time! Why I followed, I cannot say; I don't believe it was really up to choice!
Eventually, we came to a fork in the road, and Raven lighted in a tree and waited there for me to catch up. I looked up the road off to the left, and Raven cawed. I looked down the to the right, and he was silent. I felt a tugging at my heart, and waited for Raven to lead me. He watched me patiently, as I realized now that I was to choose my own way. I headed down the road on the right. Raven flew to another tree, some 50 yards past, and waited for me. When I caught up; he looked into my soul, and flew off.
